As the end of the year approaches, UVA Today asked University of Virginia Library staff to recommend their favorite books of 2025.

Wallace, a first-generation college student and former student employee at the Special Collections Library, is graduating in three years.

Most libraries have several study rooms which students can reserve, and Clemons Library extended its hours to be open for 24 hours Wednesday. The Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library and Music Library also extended its hours Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. to midnight.

The Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library has first editions of many of Austen’s novels, including “Pride and Prejudice.”

Special Collections houses not only historical and literary collections, but also 21st-century media that reflect society’s digital evolution.
